French envoy: Macron's letter to Vucic friendly
Frederic Mondoloni, the French ambassador to Serbia, said on Thursday that his country’s president letter to Serbia’s head of state was friendly, adding it put an end to a protocol glitch in Paris, during the ceremony marking the Remembrance Day, the Beta news agency reported.
He added the letter also showed “the wish of France to prepare a future together with Serbia.”
“That’s a friendly letter to President Vucic. Firstly to underline the significance France >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << attributes to Serbia’s victims in the WWI, showing how well we are aware of the terrible torment the Serb people went through. And secondly to express his (Macron’s) satisfaction concerning the forthcoming visit,” Mondoloni told the state RTS television.
He added he noticed Vucic’s and Serbia’s authorities positive reaction "to our first comments after the incident on November 11, and I’m grateful to them” for that.
Mondoloni added that Macron’s visit to Serbia was crucial and would express the will of France to be firmly again engaged in Serbia and the region.
