Envoy: Serbia & Russia share 1,000 years of brotherly love
The Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Cepurin said on Tuesday that the two countries were linked with 1,000 years of brotherly love and mutual understanding and expressed support to Belgrade in “the most complex issues.”
Speaking at the Moscow’ s embassy in Belgrade on the occasion of the Russian Day, Cepurin said “the Christianity, i.e., the Orthodoxy, which came to Russia from the Greek Byzantine in the 10th century made Russians and Serbs brothers not only in blood >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << but the religion as well.”
He said Russia would support Serbia in preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“We will support the Serbs in seeking an acceptable solution to the Kosovo problem with Pristina. It’s important to look for it without arrogant outside pressure.”
