Bosnian delegation, Serbia's PM on cooperation

Members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly's Board and the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic agreed that regional cooperation is of utmost importance for both countries.

They added that the progress in the European integration process cannot be expected without economic progress.

The Bosnian delegation assessed the relations between Serbia's Government and Bosnia's Council of Ministers as significant and expressed great expectation when it comes to >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Bosnia's progress in the EU accession process, considering that Serbia is the regional leader in this field.

Brnabic said that the citizens of this region cannot have a better life unless there is stability in the region. She stressed the efforts Serbia makes in the development of its infrastructure and infrastructural connections with Bosnia, primarily the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway.

The trade exchange between Bosnia and Serbia in 2017 amounted to EUR 1.72 million, and in the first two months of 2018, this number was EUR 256.5 million, which is around 19 percent higher compared to the same period last year. In this regard, she concluded that successes of individual countries should primarily be observed as joint successes.

Brnabic added that resolution of some open issues, such as the issue of the border between Bosnia and Serbia where Bosnia and Serbia were unable to reach an agreement about where a small percentage of the border lies, would send a positive message that such solutions are achievable via bilateral relations.
