The artist soon to be known as sevdahBABY explores the usage of elements of Balkan music tradition in the context of contemporary styles of electronic music, varying from broken beat and 2step experiments, to straight 4 to the floor club grooves. He is not afraid of mixing those two cultures, not afraid of being accused of heresy from any kind of audience: folk music lovers on one side, or representatives of urban DJ/clubbing culture on the other side. He strongly believes that music is universal, that Balkan sevdah is equal to American blues, or Brazilian tristessa.
