Girls camp 2014
The reception for the participants of the “Girls Camp 2014” which is held in Kragujevac from August 10 - 15 under the patronage of the European Badminton Confederation, was held today in the City Hall. The camp, organised by the badminton club “Ravens Kg” in collaboration with badminton club “Clear” and with the support of the Serbian Badminton Federation, gathered junior players from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia and Serbia.
This international >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu Kragujevac.rs << training camp, held in Kragujevac for the fourth time, was declared the best project under the patronage of the European Badminton Confederation which contributes to the development of female badminton in the enitre Europe, in 2012.
According to Andreja Todorovic, manager of the badminton club “Ravens Kg”, the participants are to have five days of intense and quality training with the coach Debby Lynch.
We expect her to continue in the pace she set last year and to pass her rich experience in coaching national junior selections of Denmark, as the most advanced badminton power in Europe, to the participants of the Girls Camp from seven European countries. For the representatives of Serbia this camp will be an ideal opportunity to get into shape and interplay for the international badminton camp and the Balkan Championship for the players under 17 years of age – Karatas 2014 - says Todorović.
The organisers made an effort to devise accompanying contents and activities so as they would take best impressions from Kragujevac.
Jovan Pavlović- Bojadžić, Assistent Mayor in charge of sports, on behalf of the City greeted the camp participants along with the guest players from the City of Smolensk (Russia), and expressed his delight that Kragujevac is, this year again, host of a sports manifestation which gathers junior players from the European countries and yet another opportunity to present our town in best lights.
