Vucic has not heard of an Austrian peace conference proposal
Serbia’s President said on Sunday that he has never received any proposal from Austria for a peace conference regarding Kosovo, and that he did not discuss it with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz during their last meeting.
“I cannot respond to news coming from media about the most important issues for our country,” Aleksandar Vucic told reporters regarding the information that Austria had proposed a peace conference on >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Kosovo and Metohija.
“You first have to analyse, to see all the information and then make decisions. This is not an issue that should be rushed and where decisions can be made hastily,” he added.
He said that Serbia is “not underestimating, or praising such proposals,” but that it wants to first see “whether such a proposal truly exists, who is proposing it, and then Serbia will decide.”
Vucic also criticised Pristina’s decision to raise tariffs on import from Serbia and Bosnia by 100 per cent.
According to the EU Stabilisation and Association Agreement, there are enough instruments to clearly explain to Pristina’s government that they “cannot survive” on decisions like that, he said.
He also said that Serbia has the best possible relations with Republika Srpska (RS), the Serb dominated semi-autonomous part of Bosnia, and that this is shown in action with investments and the love that Serbia is expressing toward the RS.
