Vucic: Victory, Elektromreza Srbije remains in Kosovo

Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia won at the European Network of Transmission System Operators’ (ENTSO) vote, allowing their transmission system operator Elektromreza Srbije to remain part of Kosovo’s energy network.

"I have good news. It’s a small victory, but we’re delighted," Vucic said.

Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina voted against Kosovo’s >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << proposal, and for the first time, Montenegro and Macedonia abstained.

"It’s an important victory for us, and a small defeat for them. It is especially important because we were right and justice was on our side," Vucic said and added that this is more important for Serbia than the issue of Interpol.

According to him, the Pristina authorities failed to achieve their plans regarding the energy agency.

The ENTSO consists of 43 energy system operators from 36 European countries. Recently they said they are working on training for energy codes which would be open for non-member states: Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Kosovo.
