Tit-for-Tat between Belgrade and Pristina over murder
Serbia’s FM said Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister directly accused Belgrade of murdering Oliver Ivanovic after Enver Hoxhaj said that the answer to the January 16 assassination of a Kosovo Serb leader “is hiding in Belgrade.”
Hoxhaj replayed to Serbia’s Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic who said Belgrade was seeking a solution to a Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic’s murder but did not see the Pristina authorities’ readiness to do that.
Stefanovic >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << said there was no an exchange of information between Pristina and Belgrade services and asked the Eulex, European Union legal body in Kosovo, to help in the process.
Hoxhaj accused Serbia’s institutions of refusing to cooperate in the murder investigation and that they were doing it deliberately to cover up the truth and to obstruct the justice.
Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic responded that by saying that Hoxhaj directly blamed Belgrade of assassinating Ivanovic, in spite of the fact that Pristina was conducting the investigation and that there had not been any results so far.
Ivanovic was killed soon after he was released from prison where “the Albanians put him for an alleged war crime,” Dacic told Belgrade Prva TV.
He added that “Pristina conducts the investigation and that’s why there is no answer. It is a question for them, but for the EU as well because it demanded that the security structures were integrated into Kosovo’s institutions.”
