Thaci: agreement must include border changes
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said on Tuesday that an agreement to normalize relations with Serbia can be achieved only if it includes a correction of the borders.
He told a news conference that an agreement would open the door to Kosovo’s European perspective.
“The stability of Kosovo is closely linked to membership in international organizations >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and we can’t achieve that without the prospect of good neighbour relations which are a condition for membership in the European Union,” he said.
Thaci said that Serbia will not recognize Kosovo despite all the efforts invested by the EU and US, adding that without a Belgrade-Pristina agreement, Russia will not withdraw its veto on Kosovo’s membership in the United Nations.
