Serb list marks first anniversary
The Serb List is an institution of the Serb people protecting their interests, the leader of that Kosovo Serb political organization Goran Rakic said at a ceremony marking the first anniversary since it was formed.
The first year was succesful and the Serb List came to power in all 10 municipalities with Serb majorities as well as nine seats in parliament, Rakic, who is also mayor of northern Mitrovica, said at the ceremony.

“We have managed to preserve our institutions and have launched projects which will improve the lives of our citizens,” he said, adding that this would not have been possible without the support of the Serbian authorities.
He said all 10 mayors faced the same problems: security dangers, seizure of property, unemployment and no means to solve infrastructure problems and develop the local economies.
Rakic appealed to Kosovo Serbs not to join the Kosovo Security Forces and called Serb families not to enroll their children in universities in Serbia proper adding that this is one of the ways for them to remain in Kosovo.
