Pacolli's request to visit Sandzak not approved, learns RTS

The official Belgrade did not approve the request by Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli to visit the town of Novi Pazar, learns the Radio Television of Serbia.

Pacolli was earlier invited by the Bosniak National Council (BNV) to attend their session and debate titled “The process of establishing the regional balance and cooperation in the Balkans” in Novi Pazar, the town with the predominantly Bosniak population.

RTS unofficially learns that the request >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << has been rejected because the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) does not recognize the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is why the regulations on visits of officials cannot be applied in Pacolli’s case.

The Kosovo official said on Thursday that he asked for Belgrade’s permission to visit the town in the Sandzak region bordering Kosovo but added that he would not go without the permission.
