PRIDE ON KOSOVO: This is what gay people said to Taci on Serbian! (VIDEO) (PHOTO)

Few hundred members of homosexual and lesbian community in Kosovo held their first Pride on the streets of Pristina today, seeking for acceptance and respect of their rights, and the crowd of few hundred participants was lead by Kosovo's president Hasim Taci, as was reported by the local media. 

Participants walked the downtown of Pristina with heavy police escort, waving with flags with rainbow colors on a day >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu Telegraf.rs << that is marked in the world as the international day for fight against homophobia and trans-phobia, reports AFP agency.

On the head of the crowd there was a large number of celebrities, and with Taci there were British and American ambassadors in Pristina, who wanted to express their support to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons.

Participants of the Pride wore banners with written "I am out, therefore i exist", "Be out, ask us how" and "Zone without homophobia".

Three non government organizations, that organized first Pride in Kosovo, invited majority of Albanian and Muslim population to root out homophobia and respect the rights of the gay community.

Taci, however, in his public statement to the press emphasized that "every citizen, no matter the ethnicity and gender has equal rights".

Pride, that was finished without incidents, was secured by hundreds of police officers, and that event wasn't announced in advance due to fear of possible incidents.
