Kosovo president promises freedom of movement for all
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci pledged on Monday to secure freedom of movement for all, including members of the Serb community.
“It’s incomprehensible and unacceptable for anyone to violate the rights of or not allow a visit by Serb citizens to religious sites anywhere in Kosovo,” Thaci wrote on his Facebook pages replying to a letter from Serbian human rights activist Natasa Kandic who called him to secure >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << freedom of movement and allow displaced Serbs to visit the church in the town of Djakovica on a religious holiday.
“Kosovo is a state of all of its citizens regardless of religion, ethnic or cultural affiliation. We are the most democratic state in the region in which ethnic communities are protected by the constitution,” Thaci wrote.
