Kosovo Serbs aren’t unprotected, US Ambassador says
The withdrawal of the EULEX mission does not mean the Serbs will be left unprotected in Kosovo, US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott said on Tuesday.
“You saw that there were problems over the past few days and that is terrible but the Kosovo police was there to do its job and protect the Serb minority as well as every other citizen of Kosovo,” Scott >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << said in response to a reporter’s question about the withdrawal of the EU rule of law mission.
The current mandate of the EULEX mission ends on June 15 with the mission loosing executive powers but remaining in place to monitor the situation and provide advice.
