Kosovo Serb party backs Serbian president Vucic
The leader of the major Kosovo Serb political party has expressed support on Tuesday for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s efforts to resolve the Kosovo issue and called the opposition to end its witch hunt against the head of state.
Goran Rakic, leader of the Belgrade-backed Serb List party, told a news conference in Kosovska Mitrovica that the Serbian >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << opposition should leave the Kosovo issue to people who enjoy public suppport. “The fate of the Kosovo Serbs will be decided by the people who won 90 percent support at the latest elections,” he is quoted as saying by the Kosovo state TV (RTK) web site.
Rakic said that there has been talk recently of a demarcation with the Albanians but that the option of territorial partition is not being considered at present. “A shameful and unprecedented witch hunt is being conducted by opposition leaders and quasi politicians who are glad that the Serbs in northern Kosovo will belong to Pristina,” Rakic said.
“Stop that behaviour because you are siding with Pristina and the Albanians and showing who your mentors are,” Rakic said.
