Kosovo Serb minister’s warning over Community
A former Kosovo Serb government minister said on Friday that the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) is dangerous to the Kosovo Serbs.
Nenad Rasic, Labour Minister in Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj’s government, said that the Serbs should not insist on the forming of the CSM because it will harm their interests, Pristina daily newspaper Zeri reported.
“Once the CSM is formed, the Serb municipalities >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << will cease to exist and 22,000 Serbs will loose their jobs,” Rasic said.
The forming of the CSM, an umbrella body for municipalities in Kosovo with majority-Serb populations, was part of the Brussels agreement signed in 2013 by Serbian and Kosovo officials as part of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue under the auspices of the European Union. It has been a point of contention between the authorities in Belgrade and Pristina since then.
