Kosovo PM opposed to unilateral decision
Kosovo PM Haradinaj says the unilateral decision to form the Community of Serb Municipalities is not legal
Kosovo’s Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj voiced opposition on Wednesday (April 11) to the possible unilateral forming of the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM).
That decision has no legal standing, he told reporters after a cabinet meeting >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << in Priština. Kosovo Serb political leaders said late in March that they would form the CSM in line with the 2013 Brussels Agreement on April 20 if the Priština authorities do not meet that obligation. Haradinaj said the statute for the CSM would be drawn up by the Priština authorities and would be submitted to the Constitutional Court for evaluation.
The Kosovo Constitutional Court ruled in Decembar 2016 that the CSM, in the form agreed in the 2013 Brussels Agreement, is not fully in line with the Constitution.
