Fourth Serb arrested on Friday placed into 30-day detention
A Kosovo court ordered on Sunday the fourth Serb arrested on Friday to remain in pretrial detention for obstructing the investigation into the murder of a Kosovo Serb political leader.
Aleksandar Curic was arrested along Marko Rosic, Nedeljko Spasojevic and Dragisa Markovic, who are suspected of activities related to the January murder of Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic in Kosovo.
Curic’s lawyer, >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Srdjan Mitrovic, told Serbia’s public broadcaster that his client was placed into a high-security prison in Grdovac, near Podujevo.
Curic is suspected of obstructing officers in conducting public security operations and of illicit possession of arms and ammunition.
A small amount of ammo was reportedly found in a vest that was thrown away near Curic’s home, his lawyer said.
The Basic Court of Pristina has on Saturday ordered 30 days of pretrial detention to the three suspects concerning Ivanovic’s murder.
According to the lawyer of Dragisa Markovic, Dejan Vasic, none of the four are suspected of the murder of Ivanovic itself, but of activities related to the killing.
