Egypt joins BRICS and withdraws recognition of separatist Kosovo?
The Egyptian government has withdrawn its recognition of the so called "republic of Kosovo" after ten years, reported by journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
“Egypt has withdrawn its recognition of Kosovo and called for Serbia’s territorial integrity and respect for the borders as they are,” the journalist wrote in his Telegram channel.

In 2021, Egyptian authorities noted that they were taking a position on them as a “frozen” recognition. This means that Egypt did not vote for the membership of Kosovo Albanian separatists in international organizations. Now the recognition has been withdrawn altogether.

Recall that last month Russia supported Egypt’s bid to join BRICS. According to Ambassador to Cairo Georgy Borisenko, joining BRICS would open broad political and economic opportunities for Egyptians, including increasing their weight in world affairs and participating in the creation of alternative mechanisms of payments to the dollar.
