Defence Minister: Army is ready to help Kosovo Serbs
Serbia’s Armed Forces are ready and prepared to follow every order issued by President Aleksandar Vucic and protect Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbia’s Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Sunday.
“We have concluded all preparations and whether we will or we will not, that is up to Serbia’s leadership,” he told Serbia’s public broadcaster.
Vulin said Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << struggling to survive. Pristina has imposed a 100 per cent tariff regime on imports from Serbia and Bosnia, which left the north of Kosovo where a Serb minority lives without food supplies.
Vulin repeated that by imposing such tariffs, Pristina was violating the Association and Stabilization Agreement with the EU as well as the Central European Free Trade Agreement, CEFTA.
He said he cannot predict Pristina’s decisions but that “whatever is up to Serbia, we will do,” adding that Serbia has been proving itself to Europe enough and that it was about time for Europe to prove itself to Serbia.
