Belgrade: Commonwealth Dominica suspends Kosovo recognition
Serbia’s Foreign Minister said on Friday that the Commonwealth of Dominica was the eighth country which had withdrawn the recognition of Kosovo’s independence, N1 reported.
Ivica Dacic said he received an official note from this island state in the West Indies that it had suspended the decision of recognition and supported the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue.
The final decision will be taken at the end of the dialogue, Dacic quoted the note from the capital >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Roseau as saying.
“When the two sides settle, the Government of Commonwealth of Dominica will support the position they agree on,” Dacic said.
Belgrade is trying to decrease the number of countries that have recongised the independence of Kosovo to under one hunderd which would mean less than a half of the 193 United nations' member states.
