Biosfera u Montrealu

To je slika kostura geodetske kupole, pošto je vatra uništila tkivo omotača koji prekriva celu površinu. Nije bila transparentna do požara. Izgrađena je kao američki paviljon za 1967 Montreal World Expo (slavi stotu godišnjicu Kanade kao nacije). Pruga sa jednim kolosekom omogućavala je putovanje kroz kupolu u jednom trenutku, povezujući druge delove Expo-a. Sada biosfera sadrži čitave tropske svetove, a nalazi se na tlu zabavnog parka "Čovek i njegov svet" , na ostrvu u Montrealu " St. Lawrence River.This is a picture of the skeleton of a geodesic dome, as a fire destroyed the fabric sheathing that covered its entire surface. It was not transparent until after the fire. It was built as the American Pavilion for the 1967 Montreal World Expo (celebrating Canada’s centennial as a nation). A monorail travelled through it at one time, connecting other areas of Expo. It is now a Biosphere containing entire tropical worlds, and is located on the grounds of "Man and his World" amusement park, on an island in Montreal"s St. Lawrence River.
