Josh Wink is a pioneering techno and house music DJ and producer. He cut his teeth on the Philadelphia music scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
In 1994, Josh Wink and King Britt launched Ovum Recordings, a legendary house record label. Wink was an East Coast phenomenon until 1995 when three consecutive European hits launched him into the international spotlight. He has been a permanent fixture on the global electronic scene ever since. Wink has always run ahead of the pack, as a DJ, label owner, producer, remixer, and artist. The sound of Josh Wink today remains one of a man unafraid to walk the border between stylistic boundaries. Wink has acknowledged the music of Kraftwerk, 1980s synthpop and late 1980s Chicago house music as major influences on his style. He is a strong supporter of new DJing technologies. He has worked with Ursula Rucker and the Oscar-winning producer Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
Josh Wink’s Ovum imprint, has seen releases from Loco Dice, Shlomi Aber, Marc Romboy, DJ Pierre, Aaron Carl, King Britt, Steve Bug, D’Julz and of course his own productions. It still continues to grow by both introducing new talents and releasing one-offs from some of the world’s best known producers. “Ovum is about integrity to good music! We feel that we don’t have to follow the music that is trendy or fad-like at the moment.”
Matthew’s creativity provides the best results in the sun, salty water and all year long summer environment. Or in his own words: 'I am Mediterranean by breed and Latino by soul. I am a passionate guy.' He experienced his first club night as a 12 years old boy and instantly fell in love with the concept of spreading the positive vibe among people with the music. His passion for warm tech-house has taken him to a non-stop around the globe journey, performing in countries such as Brazil (Experience Festival), Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Serbia (Exit Festival), Greece, Austria, Germany, Belgium (I Love Techno) Luxembourg, USA (WMC), UK, France Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Macedonia as well as his favourite place to be - Ibiza.
If you are looking for an international star of the future, one contender and serious talent is Pyztek from Zagreb, Croatia. Small but deadly, this Croatian DJ stayed consistent in embracing tech house, house and disco personal flavored sounds.
His already sent him out to opening Dance Arena on Exit, London, Berlin, Paris, Istanbul, Munich, Vienna, Milan, Serbia, Belgrade, Toulouse to name a few. Pytzek and longtime friend and now business partner Sergej Lugovic´ have collaborated on many successful projects but a stand out chapter in 2009 was Porat club on the Croatian coast in Pirovac where fine art meets cutting edge music, took place in a Natural Park where the summer dose of house-techno-drum & bass music appeared on everyone’s must do list...featured stirling press and support from the likes of Mixmag, DJ with IDJ - it was proclaimed the best international place to dance.
