Formed in autumn of 2008, HEMENDEX is a collective of hard working drones from Croatia fixated on fusing analog and digital synthetic sounds with distorted string instruments to create something someone in 1983 might imagine as pop music from the near future, incorporating VJing along with a strong visual identity in their live performances. After playing a string of live shows with bands such as Ladytron, Handsome Furs and The Young Gods, the band self-released its first 7" record, entitled 'Reset 1', and and plans to release the follow up EP 'Reset 2' at the fall of 2011. Meanwhile, you can enjoy their free compilation of live recordings 'Life is not a soundcheck Vol. 1'.
