Italian producer Riva Starr is one of the hottest names on today's global House scene.
Q Magazine hailed him as 'dynamite on the dance floor'. Riva Starr, with his unique patchwork of styles, has sprung onto the scene from the blogosphere. He has coined the term “Snatch!” to describe his very personal bootleg remix technique, snatching any music style and making it his own.
Riva Starr draws inspiration from the Balkan music scene, an area of music that’s always been a personal interest. Also known as “Mezcla” - the Spanish word for blending or fusion - Riva’s music moves from mood to mood, genre to genre. His music is like a magician’s hat; you can put your hand in there and you won’t know what will come out of it.
Marko Milićević aka Gramophonedzie is the first Serbian producer/DJ signed to Virgin Records.
The success of “Why Don’t You”, which entered the UK Singles Chart at number 12, brought Gramophonedzie to the lights of the world global house scene and got him signed with Virgin.
Milicevic’s DJ career kicked off in 2000 at the Red Bull Music Academy in Ireland. In 2010, Gramophonedzie won the award for Best Adriatic Act at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. He has played alongside house greats such as Basement Jaxx, Derrick Carter and Bob Sinclar, to name a few.
