Offers for RTB Bor good, Serbian President says
Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that he thinks the offers to buy the RTB Bor mining and smelting complex are excellent.
Vucic added that the state is planning additional investments in infrastructure in the Bor area, whatever the government decides about the offers on Thursday.
“The investment plans and programmes offered by both bidders is good. At present, 1,150 people are employed >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << at the RTB in production and administration jobs. Finally, something that has been creating problems and owes a billion will start earning money for the Bor district and Serbia,” Vucic said during a tour of the Bor and Majdanpek areas before attending a rally of his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) prior to local elections on September 2.
The president also announced the construction of a “fast road” to link the Bor area with Pozarevac and Belgrade.
