WBIF to secure grant for Serbian railway
The Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) will secure a grant of 5.5 million Euros for railway construction plans in southern Serbia, the Serbian Ministry of Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure said on Tuesday.
According to the ministry press release, the money will be used to finance the construction plans for a railway ring road around the city of Nis and upgrades to the railway line from Nis to Presevo and the border with Macedonia.
Two million Euro will >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << be used for the plans for the single-track rail ring road around Nis as part of the project to upgrade the rail Corridor 10 between that city and Dimitrovgrad near the border with Bulgaria.
Another 3.5 million Euros will be used to finance plans, a feasibility study and a study on the impact on the environment in the construction of the railway to the border with Macedonia.
