United Group: SBB has licence for distributing RTS
The United Group said late on Sunday it was “surprised with a term ‘RTS channels piracy’ attributed to the SBB because it distributed the state RTS television content via its different platforms.
“On one hand, Serbia’s citizens pay for the existence of the RTS, and have the right to watch it, and on the other, the SBB, as a licensed operator, has a legal obligation to distribute it. Besides, we have never received the agreement that RTS mentions,” the United Group's >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << statement said.
The SBB has recently introduced the most modern technology, distributing, as usual, all contents to its consumers, but only on an advanced platform, the statement added.
It said that the audince could opt for the EON platform “and we do not understand why people in Serbia, who pay for the RTS, should be deprived of watching this channel only because they want to use new technology, while, at the same time, they can watch other channels via the same platform?”
