Tour of Danube Corridor works: „We will finish it by the end of 2025“
The high-speed road through eastern Serbia will connect Pozarevac, Golubac and Veliko Gradiste with Corridor 10, in the length of almost 70 kilometers
A tour of construction works on the high-speed road from the Pozarevac interchange to Golubac was organized today.

The Pozarevac-Golubac high-speed road should be launched by the end of 2025, Vucic confirmed today. Namely, the Danube Corridor aims to improve tourism and the economy in the eastern part of Serbia, by attracting investments.
The high-speed road through eastern Serbia will connect Pozarevac, Golubac and Veliko Gradiste with Corridor 10, in the length of almost 70 kilometers, and the invested funds amount to more than 330 million euros.
It will take one hour and 20 minutes to get from Belgrade to Golubac, Vucic said today, and added that next they are thinking about continuing, that is, connecting the entire northern part of eastern Serbia with Belgrade and Novi Sad.
130 million euros have been paid so far, and the company building the Danube Corridor is China’s Shandong.
Vucic further pointed out that our people from this part of Serbia now working as „guest workers“ in Germany should see these investments as an „invitation“ to return home. As for further works and other corridors, such as the Djerdap one, Vucic says that everything is a matter of money.

„I can’t make any promises now. But, as you can see, literally all of Serbia is a construction site. I’m never satisfied, it can always be better. Here it’s good, in some other locations it’s more difficult. You don’t have quarries because everyone has personal interests, the fight is for every meter, kilometer. And while we are sitting in our offices, these people are working.“
According to him, „the east of Serbia is demographically the most empty, but gorgeous.“
The president of Serbia also highlighted the Ram Fortress, where the plan is to improve the tourist offer. „I invite everyone to visit Golubac, Ram, Kostolac, Kladovo, Lepenski Vir,“ he said.
„But it is not only a question of tourism, but also of (new) jobs, and I hope, the return of people to our country.“
