Teachers in Serbia on strike again over salaries
As they promised at the beginning of September, the teachers across Serbia continued their strike on Monday over a draft law on pay grades which put them lower than they believed it should and announced more radical protests, the Beta news agency.
They are striking by cutting short classes from the usual 45 to 30 minutes which the law allows them to.
The four teachers’ unions have so far organised two strikes in September with the Monday’s one being the third with shorter classes.
The union’s representatives are holding the meeting with the Ministry of Education on a regular basis, but so far no solution has been found to their demands.
