THIEF STOLE WINTER STORES, and when he looked what the jars contained, he became RICH and he disappeared!
A thief from Bitolj, in the south of Macedonia, was pleasantly surprised when he found 8.000 Swiss francs in the jars.
On the night between Friday and Saturday he entered the house of V. S. (57) unnoticed at Bukowski bridge in Bitola and immediately snuck into the basement to steal winter stores.
It often happen in Macedonia during the year that thieves brake in basements in houses and buildings mostly to steal winter stores, for their own needs or to sell them. House owner V. S. thought that his life savings hidden in pots in the basement are safe, but fortunately for the thief, he was very mistaken. He reported the theft to the police, who performed the investigation, and now he only hopes that the thief will be caught and his money returned.
There was another extraordinary theft recently in Bitolj. A thief snuck inside the house and stole the brief-case full with money hidden under the bed.
No thief and no money have been found.
