Successful actions of Belgrade Police

Belgrade- Last month, Belgrade police took several successful actions of seizing narcotics.

In the last action, the police seized more than 2 kg of marijuana, 63 ecstasy pills, 136 g of cocaine and 73,34 g of heroine.

In previous actions, Belgrade police seized 10 kg of marijuana and 1 kg of cocaine.

Lieutenant colonel Zlatko Kesic says that drug peddlers are usually released after being interrogated. >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu Blic << Nebojsa and Nenad Tomic of Zemun were taken into custody three times between February and July for peddling heroine.

Lieutenant Colonel Kesic explains that drug possession isn't a criminal act according to Yugoslav laws and that the laws must be changed.

'Lawyers usually claim that their clients weren't drug peddlers and that they kept narcotics for personal use. That's how they take their clients out of custody,' Mr. Kesic explains.
