Southern Serbia airport won’t raise fees
The airport in Serbia’s southern city of Nis won’t be raising its fees over the next two or three years, the airport CEO told the Serbian state TV (RTS).
“We have contracts and those plans (to raise airport fees) are not realistic in this period,” Dusan Knezevic, the CEO of the Konstantin Veliki airport said.
He recalled that the airport has contracts with the companies flying from Nis to the years 2021 and 2022. “As long as those contracts are in effect, the >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << fees will remain the same,” he said.
Weeks of protests were organized earlier this year over plans by the Nis city authorities to hand over the airport to the Serbian government, amid claims that the decision had been taken following the signing of a contract with the Vinci Airports giving that French company a concession to manage Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla airport.
