Singer Oliver Dragojevic dies in Split

Oliver Dragojevic, one of the greatest Croatian pop singers had died on Sunday, at the Split hospital, losing his battle against cancer, which he had been fighting for the past year.

Dragojevic made 23 studio albums, numerous compilations, won countless awards and held concerts in the world's most famous halls such as the New York's Carnegie Hall, London's Royal Albert Hall, Paris’ Olympia, Sydney’s Opera House...

He was born in Vela Luka on the island of Korcula >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << (born December 7, 1947), where he spent his childhood. He attended music school in Split. He started his career in 1963 as a singer and keyboard player of a Split band ‘Batali.’

Dragojevic said farewell to his Split audience with an unforgettable performance at the Croatian National Theater in October last year. The concert was named after one of his most famous songs ‘Believe in Love’ (‘Vjeruj u ljubav’).
