Serbia has a huge corruption problem at all levels and has to seriously curb it before opening the Chapter 23 in its accession talks with the European Union.
The chapter, related to judicial reforms, is believed to be one of the toughest to negotiate, especially because corruption is deeply rooted in the society and many arrests and charges have never saw the courts' procedures, mostly due to the statute of limitation.
In an apparent effort to reform the judiciary and make its procedures more transparent, Serbia's PM Ana Brbnabic announced on Wednesday the acceleration of courts' procedings, saying that all cases would become available to the public as of April.
She added that the first e-court, an administrative one, would start in June enabling citizens to complete their cases without going to the courts.
