Serbia’s Vucic meets Israel’s Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s invitation to visit Serbia, the president’s cabinet said on Friday.
A statement issued after their meeting in the Bulgarian city of Varna said that Vucic and Netanyahu discussed bilateral relations, economic cooperation and global security challenges.
“We are satisfied with our cooperation in all areas,” the Serbian president is quoted as saying. The statement said that trade between Serbia and Israel stood at 55.5 million Dollars this year between January and September.
Netanyahu voiced gratitude for the restoration of the Synagogue in the northern Serbian town of Subotica and the naming of street in Belgrade for Theodor Herzl who is known as the spiritual father of the Jewish state.
Vucic is in Bulgaria to attend a meeting with the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov, Greece Alexis Tsipras and Romania Viorica Dăncilă. Netanyahu will join them for a working lunch.
