Serbia’s National Museum reopens after 15 years
The renewed building of the National Museum in the central Belgrade Republic Square will open its doors to visitors on Thursday after 15 years, with some 400,000 exhibits which will be the art house’s permanent exhibition.
Only special guests and reporters could have a quick glance at the new interior on Wednesday, while first art fans would be let in for free at 11 pm on Thursday.
As of 10 pm on Friday, the Museum will host the visitors for three days, also without >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << charge.
In the future, the entry will be free on Sundays, while on other days a ticket will cost around 2.5 Euros.
The opening hours will be from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and from 10 am to 8 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Museum was build in 1903, redone in 1930 and reconstructed after the World War II and again in the 1960s.The latest reconstruction cost 12 million Euros.
The Museum's inner area spreads on 5,000 square meters, while the permanent exhibition occupies three floors.
