Serbia's Gov. says never set deadline for digitalisation

In a reaction to an N1 report that the digitalisation project failed to cover most schools in the country, Serbia’s government said that the September 1 deadline had never been set for the project.

“It has never been announced or planned that the electronic report cards will be in use in all schools on September 1 this year,” said a statement from the Government.

“Schools are being continuously equipped with new things, and at the moment 1,400 computers and >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << 155 tablets are being purchased, the statement said.

It added that 2,000 packages containing "a laptop, projector and portable trolleys were also being purchased for 600 schools in Serbia.

However, the statement said that “unfortunately this won’t be enough for all our schools."
