Serbian Health Institute reports more West Nile cases

The Serbian Public Health Institute has reported another rise in the number of Nile Virus cases in the country.

According to the latest Institute report, a total of 262 cases of West Nile fever have been registered to date in the country, including 25 deaths of virus-related causes.

The largest number of the cases was reported in Belgrade (126) with the rest being reported in areas around rivers. The West Nile virus is transmitted by mosquitoes.
