Serbia hosts 12 percent more tourists than last year
In the first eight months of this year, 2.359,446 tourists visited Serbia, or 12 percent more than in the same period in 2017, the Beta news agency reported, carrying the country’s Tourist Organisation statement on Wednesday.
Almost half of them were domestic guests, an increase of nine percent compared to 2017, while the percentage of foreign visitors rose by 15 percent and reached 1.152,184.
The number of overnight stays also increased, and the most frequented locations >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << were Vrnjacka Banja (a spa), Mt. Zlatibor, Sokobanja (also a spa), Mt. Kopaonik and the capital city of Belgrade.
The most foreign tourists came from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Turkey, Romania, Germany and China.
