Serbia has to open more chapters soon
Serbia’s Minister for European Integration expects the country to open all chapters in the pre-accession negotiations with the European Union.
“Our position is that the process of opening chapters must speed up and get over bureaucratic and technocratic obstacles,” Minister Jadranka Joksimovic told reporters after a meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
The Hungarian foreign minister said his government had asked its Lithuanian counterpart >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << to help close Chapter 31 - foreign,security and defence policy. “Hungary’s goal is to see Serbian join the European Union as soon as possible. We feel that the year 2025 which the European Commission has proposed is very far away,” he said.
Szijjártó said that Serbia should open more chapters by December when the Serbian and Hungarian governments are planning a joint session.
