Serbia: Higher Court confirms indictment against US citizen
The Belgrade Higher Court confirmed charges against a former US Navy Seal Daniel David Corbett and three of Serbia’s nationals for alleged production, keeping, and selling weapons and explosive material, the Beta news agency reported.
One of them is also charged with drug possession.
“Looking into the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office indictment, the court council rules that the accused have committed the crimes they are charged with,” the court said in its decision.

It added that the accused and their attorneys could appeal to the Court of Appeal within three days of receiving the decision.
Corbett and the other three were arrested in January. Serbia’s Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic then said that “the US national was arrested in a safe house in Belgrade and that police found “CZ-99” handgun with the serial number erased on him.
The arrest of the US citizen in Belgrade attracted media attention, some saying that Corbett was an employee of Raven Military.
Other media speculated that the former Seal was tasked with assassinating a politician, but did not give any more details.
