Russian Railways official in Serbia
The Russian Railways company has completed a little more than a third of the construction work it plans to do in Serbia, Construction and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said on Friday after a meeting with an official of the Russian company.
Mihajlovic and the first Vice-President of Russian Railways Alexander Misharin visited several construction sites that the Russian company is working on in Serbia and which are financed from Russian loans.
“Today’s meeting >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << is important because we have done some preparations for the visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin in January. We discussed the financing of the project and improving relations,” Mihajlovic said, adding that they also discussed a new Russian loan.
The minister said that a session of a mixed Russian-Serbian committee would be held soon.
Misharin said that two tunnels need to be built on the Belgrade-Budapest fast rail line. “We are planning to build a state of the art dispatch centre under the agreement on a new loan in the next three months,” he said.
