Presidents of Serbia and Kazakhstan exchange decorations
Nursultan Ábishuly Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan’s head of state, and Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic exchanged on Tuesday high-level national decorations ahead of an economic forum in the capital Astana, the Beta news agency reported.
Vucic is on a two-day visit to the country which has not recognised Kosovo’s independence. His entourage includes several ministers and two mayors.
Serbia’s President thanked Nazarbayev for his support to Serbia’s sovereignty >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and territorial integrity, adding that it was necessary to empower economic ties.
“I hope we will strengthen our trade, the area where there is an unused potential,” Vucic said, adding he expected Nazarbayev in Serbia soon.
Kazakhstan's President said that the two countries’ economies were compatible and that there were many areas in which Astana and Belgrade could cooperate.
“We have 20 companies in Kazakhstan with capital from Serbia,” he said, adding that the two countries could cooperate in building the infrastructure between Asia and Europe.
