Police separate pro-government, opposition groups

Opposition activists and pro-government supporters had to be separated by the police in front of the Serbian presidency building in central Belgrade on Friday.

Activists of the opposition Civic Block 381 gathered for another protest in front of the building and were confronted by a group of people gathered around Serbian Right leader Misa Vacic and the head of the Association of Families of the Missing and Killed in Kosovo Simo Spasic.

The police managed to prevent any >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << large-scale incidents by deploying a cordon of officers between the two groups. Serious accusations were exchanged without physical contact.

A serious incident was prevented last week between the two groups after the government supporters assaulted the opposition activists at the same place. The police intervened after some shoving and harsh words were exchanged.
