PPF group can take over Telenor bank
Serbia’s Commission for protection of competition said on Tuesday that it approved the PPF, a privately held international financial and investment group, to take over the Telenor bank, a part of the Telenor group, the Beta news agency reported.
The Commission said that the Telenor bank became a member of the Telenor group in 2013 after it took over KBC bank in Serbia.
Telenor bank offers its services primarily to the clients of the Telenor group in Serbia.

The portfolio of the bank has more than 390,000 clients and, at the end of 2017, the bank was managing property worth 126 million Euros.
While assessing the concentration effects, the Commission found that the PPF group was not present in the banking market in Serbia and did not make income in it until it took over Telenor bank.
PPF is the largest investment group in Central and Eastern Europe which invests into various sectors such as banking and financial service, telecommunication, real estate and biotechnology and does business in 22 countries on three continents, managing property worth over 38 billion Euros.
