No reason to call snap election, president says
Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday in Belgrade that he could see no reason for calling the snap election but he added that he would not rule this possibility out if a large number of opposition representatives insisted on it.
Commenting the announcement of the formation of an opposition bloc in Serbia and the statements by opposition representatives that snap election will take place in March, Vucic said the soon local election in Serbia’s municipality of Majdanpek >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << is an opportunity for “the right-wing or tycoon alliance with some added fascism to take the convincing victory.”
“They always know when an election comes they say it is easy, that’s how it goes for those who lose, and it is always hard for us. If they win the people’s trust, we won’t step on that, the voice of people is the most important,” underlined Vucic.
