Montenegro knows what it faces, PM says
Montenegro is aware of the challenges it faces in the European integration process, Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic said after Tuesday’s meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk in Podgorica.
“Montenegro is aware of the challenges and the segments of the European integration process that it needs to work more efficiently on,” Markovic said.
He said Montenegro views the European Union commitment to the Western Balkans as a great opportunity for >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the entire region, Markovic said.
Markovic and Tusk said that Montenegro is progressing in the European integration process, that it is successfully meeting its obligations and is setting a good example for the countries of the Western Balkans, a press release said.
Montenegro is undoubtedly in good shape for the pre-accession negotiations and its success is important not just for the country but also for the EU because it shows that positive steps are possible in a complicated situation and region, Tusk said.
