Mike Michel new Telenor Serbia CEO
Mike Michel is named the CEO of Telenor Serbia, a part of the PPF group, and will start the job on October 1 at the latest, the group said on Friday.
“I would welcome Mike Michel as the new CEO and a member of our management, with great pleasure. Mike brings in more than 20 years of experience in global telecommunication companies in the region, North America and Asia,” Ladislav Bartonicek, a PPF shareholder responsible for the telecommunication area was quoted as saying in >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << group’s statement.
The statement further quoted Bartonicek as saying that “the competence he (Michel) reached working in marketing, sale and leadership will be a substantial contribution to the PPF management and the development of our work in Serbia.”
Michel had different managerial positions in the Czech Republic, Serbia, Montenegro and Hungary, and was the acting CEO in companies in the region. He also worked in Canada, Norway and until recently in Bangladesh.
He holds the economy degree from the Canadian “Simon Fraser” University.
“I am very happy for joining the Telenor Serbia team. I have spent many years in the region, and a part of me always belonged to this place and these people. I’m looking forward at the possibilities ahead of us,” Michel said.
