Man surrenders to police after threatening suicide
A man threatening to commit suicide surrendered to police in central Belgrade
A 63-year old man surrendered to the police after threatening to kill himself on the parking lot in front of the Serbian Parliament on Thursday March 29.
Unofficial reports said that the man was a member of the Serbian military and was armed with a pistol and hand grenade. The police said he parked his car in front of the parliament building at around 01:00 pm prompting a blockade of Nikola Pasic square by police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles.
The man, identified only by his initials MT, surrendered to police negotiators.
